The Sandalford Premium Range is the result of Sandalford’s winemaking team’s unwavering focus o n producing outstanding, expressive varietal wine styles.
Sandalford’s Premium Range is sourced purely from old vine dry-grown Margaret River fruit and with the exception of Verdelho and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, are all single Estate vineyard wines. Sandalford’s Premium Range are typically full bodied, highly complex varietals exhibiting all the characteristics that have made wines of the Margaret River region famous worldwide.
These are world class premium quality wines and Sandalford invest substantially at every stage of their production to ensure that each wine is a benchmark in it’s own right. Both wooded white and red wines are matured in the very best new French and American Oak barriques.
The Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon incorporates the use of the best Bordeaux and Burgundy Coopers available. The Shiraz is fermented and matured in the finest grain, 2 yr old seasoned American oak specifically coopered for Sandalford Wines.
This care, attention to detail and emphasis on quality has resulted in a superb range of outstanding premium wines that reflect both the greatness of the Margaret River region and the expertise of Sandalford’s viticultural and winemaking teams.

Classic fully ripened flavor profile. Tropical fruit, guava, passion fruit and cashew fruit come to the fore. Luscious palate which will only improve with age. Full-bodied white wine with no oak influence. The acid profile in 2007 is more moderate than in previous years giving softness to the texture and finish. Drinking beautifully whilst young this wine will age for years to come.

Great vintage. Level of intensity and varietal definition only seen in great years. Gooseberry and grassiness from the Sauvignon whilst the Semillon fills out the palate with weight, texture and citrus nuances. Light to medium bodied wine with beautiful balance between acidity giving a lovely zestiness to the finish and a touch of minerality on the palate. Serve well chilled and now rather than later.

Color reminiscent of a fully ripened lemon. Big wine on the nose, rich with ripe fig and dates. Nougat, vanillin oak and fruit bouquet. A full-bodied wine on palate with ripe fruit flavors come through backed up by classic premium French oak. Moderate to high acidity will ensure cellaring for up to ten years.

The old-vine fruit really shines in this wine. Nose and palate are loaded with super-ripe blackberries, mulberries and plum flavors. Blended in are the traditional hallmarks of great Shiraz, spicy elements of pepper, cinnamon and anise. Complemented by the judicious use of oak gives rise to flavors of rum ‘n’ raisin, mocha and a hint of chocolate. Mouth feel is medium to full-bodied with silky smooth tannins and beautifully balanced textural nuances. Will reward cellaring for at least a decade from the vintage date. Screw cap for this wine can only enhance all characters both now and in to the future.

35 yr old vines are extremely low yielding giving power and finesse to the resultant wines. Color is deep cherry red with an unmistakable hint of magenta. Nose brimming with violet tones so often an indicator from this vineyard of a great year. On the palate there is a seamless balance between the floral notes seen on the nose and rich blackcurrant fruit. Nuances of Margaret River menthol are at play as are the rich flavors of vanillin and chocolate from maturation in only the best French barriques. One of the highlights of this wine is the power it delivers whilst maintaining a sense of elegance. The tannins contribute to this with silky textural elements leading to a balanced and full-bodied finish. This wine will continue to improve for a decade or more.
